Devil's Bride (Cynster, #1)Devil’s Bride by Stephanie Laurens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I picked up this book in a discount book shop. I have never read Stephanie Laurens, but heard of her and I was really looking for some new romance authors. I was incredibly pleased by this book. I get a bit sick of names like Honoria for regency heroines, but that’s really the only thing I didn’t like about the book. I’m always up for heroines who are proud and stand up for themselves and women everywhere against domineering men. The fact that she did this and fought to have equal footing in a time period where women had very little say is even better. Loved the couple, the way they were together and the struggle the hero, ‘Devil’ Cynster has accepting that what he feels for his new bride is more than passion and possessiveness. I’d highly recommend it and look forward to reading the others in the series.

Fear Unfounded

Finished my first read through of my most recently completed novel, ‘Prophecy of a Dangerous Love.’ The writing of which gave me more trouble than anything I’ve ever written (granted it’s only my third novel). I was terrified it would be horrible, but I’m very pleased to say that it’s not. Sure it needs some revising, but I’m now looking forward to it. Damn you creeping rot disease for causing me such stress. Weight gone, hope restored.

Happy writing everyone

A Chance at Love

Corporal Aidan Hamilton has the unenviable job of telling his best friend’s sister that her brother isn’t coming back. While Suzanne might need someone to lean on at the moment, can he convince her that what they have is more than a short term fling?

Suzanne had always told her big brother that being a soldier was too dangerous, so when she sees the uniformed officer in front of her house she knows exactly what he’s here to tell her. While Aidan may set her blood on fire, Suzanne has already lost…
